Wearable Flexible Antenna for UWB On-Body and Implant Communications

This paper describes the development and evaluation of an on-body flexible antenna designed for in-body application, as well communications at ISM UWB frequency bands. The is performed via electromagnetic simulations using Dassault Simulia CST Studio Suite. A planar tissue layer model, a human voxel model from abdominal area, are used to study characteristics next tissues. Power flow analysis presented understand power on body surface within Simulation results show that this wearable suitable in intestinal e.g., capsule endoscopy, industrial, scientific, medical (ISM) band lower ultra-wideband (UWB). At higher frequencies, with propagation depth requirements. Additionally, prototype has been prepared performance verified several measurements. measurement good match simulation results. novelty proposed compact size substrate material, which makes it feasible practical different diagnosis monitoring applications.
